On July 2nd, Tracy and I had the pleasure of attending the Nottingham College Kindness Awards. It was a truly heartwarming event, and we were thrilled to be shortlisted among so many inspiring nominees.

A special shout-out goes to Bradley Foley and his talented Catering Commis apprentices, who had previously prepared delicious food and some truly amazing bread for our Friday evening kitchen. Their generosity and skill made a real difference, and we’re excited about the possibility of working with them again in the future!

Back at the kitchen, things have been busier than ever. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen numbers climbing close to 100 guests — a clear sign of the growing need and the importance of the work we’re doing together.

With this increase, we’ve noticed that some of our equipment is starting to show its age. Our tables and flasks are nearing the end of their useful lives, and with the warmer weather, a few extra flasks would go a long way in helping us keep everyone hydrated.

As always, we’re so grateful for the support of our community. Whether it’s through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word — every bit helps us continue to serve those who need it most.
